Iconic Movie Costumes

The fashion institute of Costume Design has declared that the white halter dress worn by Marylin Monroe in the movie "The Seven Year Itch" is the most iconic costume from a movie.

In second and third place was Olivia Newton John' s back skin tight costume from "Grease" and Jusy Garland's Red Ruby slippers worn in "The Wizard of Oz".

I'm very glad some shoes made in the top three!!!!

Fashion illustrationists are artists in their own right. A few are self taught but most went to institutions like Central St. Martins to learn not only drawing but the art of design to incorporate into their own art. They are highly sought after by fashion magazines for their sketches. My favorites are Hayden Williams, Arturo Elena, Nuno Da Costa and Inslee Haynes.
